We are called to be fishers of men. I guess that means there can be potentially only two types of profitable relationships that we have to enter into.
One is with those who helps us to fish - those who disciple us in the way, pass on their skills or fish with us on our "boat". If aboard with us then we are really going to be close - trench buddies (to mix the metaphors).
And the other is fish! Those not yet in the kingdom fisherman ranks but with all the potential to be so and needing our dedicated attention.
Beyond these is anyone else a distraction? They could be great folk who we love to hang out with but of what eternal glorious profit would our time with them be? Selfish folly?
Radical thinking? Or just the norm of The Kingdom?
